Itinerary

Day-by-day Flow

Day 1

Arrival — Gateway to Bhutan

Arrive at Bagdogra Airport or NJP Station, where our team will warmly welcome you and escort you to your vehicle. Enjoy a scenic drive to Phuentsholing, the charming border town marking your entry into Bhutan. Check in at your hotel and relax for the evening. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

Day 2

Phuentsholing → Thimphu (145 km / 5 hrs)

After breakfast, we set off for Thimphu, Bhutan’s charming capital. En route, stop at Kharbandi Gompa for panoramic valley views and make a photo stop at Taktichu Pass. On arrival, check in and unwind amidst the serene mountain air. Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 3

Explore Thimphu’s Treasures

Discover the heart of Bhutan’s culture and spirituality today. Highlights: • Memorial Chorten – honoring Bhutan’s beloved Third King. • Buddha Dordenma – the grand 169-ft statue overlooking Thimphu. • Simply Bhutan Museum – experience Bhutanese life and heritage. • Takin Sanctuary – meet Bhutan’s unique national animal. By evening, visit Tashichho Dzong, seat of Bhutan’s monarchy. Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 4

Thimphu → Punakha (83 km / 3 hrs)

A scenic drive through misty mountains leads us to Punakha, the former capital. En route stops: • Lamperi Botanical Park – colorful rhododendron paradise. • Dochula Pass (3100 m) – 108 stupas framed by prayer flags and peaks. In Punakha, explore the magnificent Punakha Dzong, then stroll the suspension bridge draped in prayer flags. Overnight in Punakha.

Day 5

Punakha → Paro (121 km / 4 hrs)

Today’s drive to Paro offers stunning Himalayan vistas via the Dochula Pass. Things to See: • Photo stop at Chuzom. • Visit Thamchok Lhakhang, temple of the Iron Bridge Builder. • Explore Ta Dzong (National Museum) and Rinpung Dzong – timeless Bhutanese landmarks. Evening at Paro Town — savor local delicacies like Ema Datshi or shop at Paro Craft Market. Overnight in Paro.

Day 6

Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery

After breakfast, embark on a rewarding trek to the iconic Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) — perched dramatically on a cliffside. Feel the serenity and legends that fill the air at this sacred site. Later, unwind at a local farmhouse with a traditional hot stone bath — Bhutan’s signature relaxation ritual. Overnight in Paro.

Day 7

Paro → Phuentsholing (145 km / 4 hrs)

Bid farewell to the Paro Valley as we drive back to Phuentsholing, tracing rivers and forested slopes. Check in and enjoy a leisurely evening at the border town. Overnight in Phuentsholing.

Day 8

Departure via Bagdogra / NJP (155 km / 4 hrs)

After breakfast, we cross back into India at Jaigaon, carrying the warm smiles and peaceful spirit of Bhutan. Transfer to Bagdogra Airport / NJP Station for your onward journey — hearts full of Himalayan memories.
